BURBANK – The Walla Walla County Rural Library District is launching a home health and telehealth initiative. The project equips the library’s three branches in Burbank, College Place and the new building in Touchet, set to open in 2025, with private rooms for patrons to use as telehealth access points.

Patrons will also be able to check out home health kits so they can monitor their health and attend telehealth appointments at home.

The kits include a scale, thermometer, plus oximeter, blood pressure monitor with three cuff sizes, and a packet of educational and instructional materials in English and Spanish.

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla donated $2,500 in support of the library’s project, which should be up and running by the end of the year.
