Resources available for Grant County seniors and people with disabilities

JOHN DAY – Community Counseling Solutions of Northeast Oregon’s Senior Services covers a substantial part of Eastern Oregon. Senior Services Manager Kathy Ganung was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently and said she works closely with folks in Baker, Grant, Union, and Wallowa counties. She said she can help connect local senior citizens with resources they may need:
“Our main goal is to help our seniors and people with disabilities live as independently as possible with dignity and choice in a safe and healthy environment. And then [also] to prevent premature or unnecessary placement in an assisted living facility.”
