CANYON CITY – Yesterday was a busy day for the Grant County Emergency Communications call center. The dispatch center took around 35 emergency calls, including a bomb threat to the Grant County Clerk’s Office. According to Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley, it appears a mass email was sent out to all the county clerks’ offices in the state on late Friday, and our local office did not receive the email until Tuesday morning. The Sheriff said the Portland office of the FBI is looking into the sources.

Nothing suspicious was found, and no access was available to the Grant County Clerk’s Office during the alleged time frame.
