WWPD: Multiple fires appear to be arson

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department reports officers investigated multiple fires that were started last Friday at 11:37 a.m. along U.S. 12 and North Wilbur Avenue. The fires appear to be arson.
Conditions were cold and damp, so WWPD said it’s likely an accelerant was used.
The fires, which burned grass, were extinguished quickly. Officers reviewed footage from a few different cameras in the area and were not able to identify any suspects or vehicles involved.
