La Grande Police Department honors its chaplains during National Pastor’s Day

LA GRANDE – The La Grande police department recently honored its men of faith as part of National Chaplin’s Day on Sunday, October 13. Mark Claudson (left, with Lt. Jason Hays & Sgt. Scott Norton) and Frank Humber (right, with chief Gary Bell and Sgt. Scott Norton) each received appreciation awards in front of their congregations at the First Baptist Church and Summerville Baptist church respectively. In a social media post honoring the two, the LGPD wrote:

“Both Chaplain Claudson and Chaplain Humber received appreciation awards for their unwavering dedication and support to our officers, dispatchers, staff, and their families. Their presence is a beacon of hope and strength for our police family, and we are truly grateful for all they do.

Thank you, Chaplains, for being such a vital part of our community!”
