MISSION – A pursuit on the Umatilla Indian Reservation ends in arrests. Umatilla Tribal Police Chief Timothy Addleman says it all began on Wildhorse Boulevard westbound near Highway 331 when a driver kept going instead of obeying a routine traffic stop. The location is within the exterior boundaries of the reservation.

The vehicle continued westbound to Highway 331 where it was driven through a stop sign onto Highway 331. Two UTPD police units with lights and sirens activated were in pursuit.

“The initiating officer had a safe opportunity to end the pursuit and conducted a PIT maneuver and safely stopped the suspect vehicle,” Addleman stated.

The three occupants in the suspect vehicle were taken into custody without incident. Addleman reports that other potential crimes are being looked into and the investigation is ongoing.
