High water bills have many upset in the City of Hines

HINES (Released by Hines City Administrator)-Do you have a costly water bill and ask yourself, why? The City of Hines is here to help you! The new Hines water system allows us to view your metered water usage, on your property. The water meter gauges the usage drawn from the main lines to the to the customers service location. Our public works and billing department can assist you in viewing your water usage. We are currently working on extending this exciting program to all service customers so they can view and monitor the usage from the comfort of their own homes.
The City of Hines bills for two months of water usage, per billing cycle, every other month. During the summer months, you may have seen an increase in the water usage. Some contributing factors may include but are not limited to: A/C Units, Swamp Coolers, Swimming Pools, Ponds, and Lawn/Gardens/Orchard Irrigation.
We can ensure you that the water system is working properly and accurately. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please come into the Hines City Hall and we would be happy to assist you in assessing your water usage.
