Shots fired in Umatilla leaves one person injured

UMATILLA – A 21-year-old man was injured following a shots fired incident at 1:25 a.m. Thursday in the area of Pine Tree Avenue and Blue Bird Drive in Umatilla. The Umatilla Police Department does not believe there were any other injuries.

The area has been blocked off and the Oregon State Police Crime Lab is processing the scene. The Umatilla Police Department is asking anyone who lives in the area of Pine Tree Avenue, Blue Bird Drive, or Pheasant Ridge Road to review their surveillance cameras and check for any footage that could relate to this incident. Anyone with footage or information can contact UPD at 541-922-3789.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. The Hermiston Police Department, Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, and Oregon State Police have provided assistance.
