North Powder fall clean-up day scheduled for September 28

NORTH POWDER – The City of North Powder is organizing a fall cleanup day for residents on Saturday, September 28. Cleanup will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a $5 per load fee. Unlike spring clean-up day, the city will not provide pick-up for garbage. Residents are responsible for their own transportation. Two dumpsters will be set out, one for scrap metal and one for regular trash, to be filled on a first come first serve basis. Tires and e-cycle will not be accepted.

The city brush pile will be open for all yard and garden debris, while all recycling can be dropped at the recycle area. Accepted items broadly include:

  • Old furniture
  • Clothing
  • Small appliances (toasters, blenders, hair dryers, curling irons, etc.)
  • Large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.)
  • Garden hoses
  • Yard decorations
  • Old carpets
  • Toys
  • Empty paint cans (only if opened and dried out)
  • Scrap metal
