Multiple trails closed at Mount Emily Recreation Area (MERA)

UNION COUNTY – The Mount Emily Recreation Area (MERA) recently reported that multiple trails are closed until further notice due to ongoing repairs and reported damage.
Specifically, The Upper Dirt Circus trail is closed until further notice while crews repair trail features. In addition, the Onion Flat (Trail 213), Cutoff (Trail 218) and Mainline (Trail 201) trails between bobsled & Up and Away are closed until further notice due to significant erosion along the trails.
Lastly, the Igo extension will be closed to all motorized traffic beginning October 1 and lasting through March 31.
