Joseph man passes away following motorcycle crash along Hurricane Creek Rd.

WALLOWA COUNTY – (Release from the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office) On Friday September 13th, 2024, at about 10:30 PM, the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a call that a motorcyclist had struck a cow on Hurricane Creek Road near Russell Lane. 

Medical personnel from Joseph Fire and Enterprise Fire were immediately dispatched along with Law Enforcement from the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and Enterprise Police Department. 

Once medical personnel arrived on scene, they attempted lifesaving procedures but were unsuccessful. 

COLE MICHAEL SCOTT / Date of Birth: 08-26-2006 of Joseph, OR. was pronounced deceased by medical personnel at the scene. 

I want to express my deepest sympathy for the family members and friends involved in this tragedy. I also want to express my sincere gratitude to all the medical personnel, Law Enforcement and those professionals behind the scenes helping family and friends deal with this tragedy. 

This is an ongoing investigation by the Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the District Attorney’s Office currently, so please be patient as we continue our investigation.
