HERMISTON – Hermiston High School’s Nadalie Cannell came away from the Campus Life Golf Tournament with a hole in one on her scorecard and a new car. The magic came on Friday at the Big River Golf Course in Umatilla.

Cannell and family friend Dan Lynch finished second gross in the tournament for the nonprofit organization. The shotgun start saw the foursome starting off on the 18th hole. The ladies played from the white tees while the men played from the blue.

The only exception to that was the par 3 ninth hole, which everyone played from the blues. Nadalie hit it right on the money on the 165-yard hole in front of a gallery cheering her on.

Her father reports that it’s not the first hole in one the young golfer has hit, but it is the first in over three years, and she’s never aced a hole in a tournament round. It’s also the first time she’s come away with a brand new car.
