WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department reports that John Bill Jones, 54, has been arrested on multiple charges for an incident Friday at the Refresco Beverage Bottling Plant on Dell Avenue.

Court documents indicate that Jones attempted unsuccessfully to take two vehicles at the plant before he managed to steal a semi with an attached trailer. Two employees in a truck tried to block him from taking the semi and said that Jones tried to ram their vehicle when they were blocking him.

The report states that Jones jackknifed the truck right before he could ram them. He is then reported to have jumped onto the hood of the employees’ truck and tried to break a window while threatening to kill them. Police arrived and arrested Jones.

He was booked into Walla Walla County Jail on multiple charges including felony theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of vehicular assault.
