NORTH POWDER – George Patrik Wesley (49) of Baker City was lodged in the Baker County Jail after witnesses reported him throwing rocks at vehicles traveling along I-84. Oregon State Police initially confronted Wesley near I-84 Milepost 208 Eastbound near North Powder at roughly 02:04 P.M. on Saturday, September 7. The OSP description of the arrest and Wesley’s actions (as listed in a recent press log) is as follows:
“OSP responded to I-84 East near milepost 289, for a report of a male who was in the lane of travel and throwing rocks at passing vehicles. The male appeared to be highly intoxicated on suspected controlled substances and was agitated. The male stated he needed an ambulance. The male was transported to the hospital where he was medically cleared, with no medical need. The male was arrested and transported to the Baker County Jail without incident. Subsequently, the male was booked into the Baker County Jail for Disorderly Conduct.”
Wesley was specifically charged with Disorderly Conduct II.
