WWPD retired K9 Farel dies

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department is informing the community of the passing of retired K9 Farel. The Belgian Malinois passed away last Friday.

Born in Slovakia on March 16, 2011, he traveled to the United States and began his police career in December 2012.

Throughout K9 Farel’s career, he was deployed multiple times in the cities of Walla Walla and College Place, plus in Walla Walla, Umatilla and Columbia counties.

K9 Farel retired in May 2021. He enjoyed being a family dog and playing his favorite game, tug of war.
