WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department has arrested Nolan Bryce Reed, 42, of Colbert on suspicion of delivering methamphetamine and suboxone to the Washington State Penitentiary.

Reed was arrested Aug. 22 after prison staff intercepted a female attempting to introduce contraband into the prison during visitation with an inmate.

An investigation revealed Reed transported the woman from Spokane to Walla Walla. The woman told police she was to pass the contraband to the inmate she was visiting during a kiss at the end of their visit. If the exchange was successful, she was to receive $1,600 upon her return to Spokane.

Reed is currently being held in the Walla Walla County Jail. His arraignment is set for Tuesday.
