PENDLETON – The Pendleton Chamber of Commerce continues the search for a tourism director. Chamber CEO Cheri Rosenberg-LaBoy said at first she was handling that job as well as fulfilling her own duties. Then, reality struck.
“I had to send an email to my E-team that said, ‘My cape is torn and my wand is no longer working, so I’m going to have to break down and get some help,’” she said.
That means that beginning early next week a staff member will pick up the slack, serving as an interim director. Rosenberg-LaBoy said that she has received applications for the position and is still looking for more.
“We will have an interim out and about, but don’t panic,” she said. “Keep applying.”
More information about applying for the position of Travel Pendleton executive director is available by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 541-276-7411.
