LA GRANDE – Update as of 7:02pm: I-84 has reopened in both directions after a crash closed eastbound lanes and a wildfire closed westbound lanes earlier today. Please watch for emergency vehicles in the eastbound lanes near milepost 268
Update as of 5:28pm: I-84 westbound is now closed between Exit 302, at Baker City, and Exit 216, at Pendleton, due to a wildfire near Exit 216. Length of this closure is unknown.
I-84 eastbound remains closed between Exit 216, 7 miles east of Pendleton, and Exit 265, east of La Grande, due to a crash at milepost 268 earlier this afternoon. OR 204 (Tollgate Highway) is closed to I-84 commercial motor vehicles. Local freight and passenger vehicles only. The closure is expected to last several more hours. Please delay your travel or use another route.
UPDATE as of 3:13pm — The closure has been extended. I-84 Eastbound is now closed between Pendleton and Baker City (Mp-216–Mp304).
Update as of 1:54pm- ODOT reports that I-84 is closed eastbound from La Grande to Baker City due to a crash.
(As of 1:40pm) We are receiving reports of a crash on I-84 near mp268, this is the Foothill Exit, 7 miles east of La Grande. ODOT is reporting this incident is in the eastbound lanes.
