GRANT COUNTY – Get ready for football at Grant Union High School under the Friday night lights to start the season.

The Grant Union Prospector Football team will start their season on August 30th with a home game against the McLoughlin Pioneers. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. On an earlier episode of Coffee Time, GUHS Senior Vincent Raschio urged community members to come out and show their support:

“We just really need as many people to show up to our games as possible. This town has always had a history of supporting our football programs. It makes a difference to have a lot of people there. It makes a difference to have that community support, and it makes us all play better.”

The Prairie City/Burnt River Panthers will travel to take on Siletz Valley this Saturday, August 31st, with kickoff at 7 p.m.

For the Dayville/Monument/Long Creek Tigers, their first game will be September 6th, hosting the Jordan Valley Mustangs.
