PENDLETON – People can now see what the Blue Mountain Community College Equine Center will look like. It’s going up just west of the Pendleton Convention Center.
“You cannot miss it now,” BMCC President Mark Browning said. “It’s beautiful. The equine center is set for completion in November.”
In addition to classroom space, the center will house an arena for the college’s award-winning rodeo team. The city of Pendleton also has plans to use the facility for winter events. Browning said he’s been impressed by the crews’ hard work in bringing a vision into a reality.
“It’s taking shape from the outside,” he said. “The indoor arena floor is down. They’re working on bleachers and some of the electrical inside.”
