PENDLETON – The Pendleton City Council will hold a special meeting at 4:30 p.m. today (Friday) to act on a potential grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for McKay Creek to remedy the potential problems posed with the flood of 2019. The meeting will be held only on Zoom.
The council is asked to endorse City Manager Robb Corbett to apply for the FEMA grant. The goal of the funding is to help develop projects that will protect property owners from flooding and enhance stream habitat according to a staff report.
The project will rely totally on grant dollars. The amounts are unknown at this time, depending on the amount the federal government decides to approve.
