UPDATED – Wildfires Cause Temporary Closures of Durkee, Huntington, Kimberly, Monument, and Spray, Oregon Post Offices

EASTERN OREGON – (Release from USPS) Wildfires in eastern Oregon have caused the temporary closure of the Durkee, Huntington, Kimberly, Monument, and Spray, Oregon Post Office Locations.

Durkee: All mail and retail service operations for the Durkee Post Office has been moved to the Baker City Post Office, located at 1550 Dewey Ave., Baker City, Ore., and customers can pick up their mail at this location until further notice.

The Baker City Post Office is open for retail operations Monday โ€“ Friday, 8:30 a.m. โ€“ 5 p.m., and for drop shipments, Monday โ€“ Friday, 7 a.m. โ€“ 4:30 p.m.

Huntington: All mail and retail service operations for the Huntington Post Office have been moved to the Ontario Post Office, located at 88 SW 2ND Ave,. Ontario, Ore., and customers can pick up their mail at this location until further notice.

The Ontario Post Office is open for retail operations Monday โ€“ Friday, 8:30 a.m. โ€“ 5 p.m., and for drop shipments, Monday โ€“ Friday, 5:15 a.m. โ€“ 4 p.m.

Kimberly and Monument: All mail and retail service operations for the Kimberly and Monument Post Offices have been moved to the Long Creek Post Office, located at 610 Hwy 395 N, Long Creek, Ore., and customers can pick up their mail at this location until further notice.

The Long Creek Post Office is open Monday โ€“ Friday, 8:30 a.m. โ€“ 3:30 p.m.

Spray: All mail and retail service operations for Spray Post Office have been moved to the Fossil Post Office, located at 606 Main St., Fossil, Ore., and customers can pick up their mail at this location until further notice.

The Fossil Post Office is open Monday โ€“ Friday, 8:30 a.m. โ€“ 5 p.m.

Customers are reminded to bring a proper photo ID in order to make mail and package pickups.

Retail services, such as temporary mail forwarding or stamps, can be found at the Ontario, Baker City, Long Creek, and Fossil Post Office locations. And many services are also available online at usps.com.

We apologize for this inconvenience to our customers and plan to have the Durkee, Huntington, Kimberly, Monument, and Spray Post Office locations reopened and fully operational as soon as it is safe to do so.
