UNION – The City of Union is scheduled to begin hydrant flushing at approximately 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, and last roughly 2-3 days. Union residents shouldn’t expect any disruptions of service but may experience discoloration of their water. Water lines can be cleared by running an outdoor faucet or by running cold water indoors. The city recommends using a faucet closest to where water enters the house to help clear lines and prevent the spread of any contaminants into the house or the water heater.
