Hermiston Municipal Airport to receive nearly $183,000

HERMISTON – The Federal Aviation Administration has announced a federal investment of more than $2.3 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for rural airports across Oregon. 

Among these investments, Hermiston will receive $182,786 to modernize its airport infrastructure. 

According to a press release, these funds aim to enhance safety and support economic growth in Hermiston, ensuring the airport continues to serve as a vital hub for local businesses and travelers.

Other rural Oregon airports to receive funds include: 

·         Christmas Valley, Christmas Valley Park and Recreation District: $345,000

·         Scappoose, Port of Columbia County: $341,429

·         Ontario, City of Ontario: $128,852

·         Tillamook, Port of Tillamook Bay: $274,180

·         Lakeview, Lake County: $274,180

·         North Bend, Coos County Airport District: $609,290 ·         Bend; City of Bend: $182,786
