Lapine couple arrested for distributing fentanyl

LA PINE (Released by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement)-On June 19th, 2024, at approximately 10:00 AM, the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team, in collaboration with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and Redmond Police Department, concluded a long-term drug investigation with the arrest of Armando Nieves-Cintora and Jessica Grace Lee.

On June 19th, 2024, Deschutes County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Burgess Rd./ Arctic Dr. in Lapine.  The vehicle was being driven by Armando Nieves-Cintora, Jessica Grace Lee was a passenger in the vehicle.  The vehicle was a 2013 white Subaru BRZ.  Redmond Police, and K9 Sadie, assisted on the traffic stop, Sadie was deployed and alerted to the odor presence of drugs in the vehicle. 

CODE Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, CODE Detectives located a baggie of fentanyl pills in a hidden compartment, no additional information will be released on the compartment.  Nieves-Cintora had additional packaging material in his wallet.

CODE Agents then applied for and were granted a search warrant for the residence where Armando Nieves-Cintora and Jessica Grace Lee are currently residing. At approximately 1220 PM, members of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and CODE Team served a search warrant in the 52000 block of River Birch in Lapine. CODE Detectives located fentanyl pills, packaging material, a scale, cash, a rifle, and sawed-off shotgun during the search warrant service.

Armando Nieves-Cintora and Jessica Grace Lee were both transported and lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail.  Additional charges may be filed in this case as the investigation is ongoing.

Jessica Grace Lee was arrested on August 9th, 2023, by the CODE team, for possession of a large quantity of fentanyl, that case is still pending. 

CODE Detectives were assisted by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and the Redmond Police Department during this investigation.

The Oregon-Idaho HIDTA program is an Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) sponsored counterdrug grant program that coordinates and provides funding resources to multi-agency drug enforcement task forces to disrupt or dismantle local, multi-state and international drug trafficking organizations.
