GRANT COUNTY – Heads up—the Grant County Road Department will be chip sealing a couple of our popular local roadways. According to Roadmaster Alan Hickerson, crews will begin work on County Road 18, Keeney Fork Road, this Monday June 24th in the Four Corners area. Folks can expect delays under 15 minutes. Hickerson asks for folks to watch their speed and be mindful of loose rock in the construction zone.
The Road Department will also be putting a seal coat on six-tenths of a mile on County Road 62, Summit Prairie Road. Find the Grant County Road Department’s full chip seal project details below:

NOTICE OF 2024 CHIP SEAL PROJECT
GRANT COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT
County Road 18, Keeney Fork Road & County Road 62, Summit Prairie Road.
The Grant County Road Department will begin its chip seal season on Monday, June 24th and continue through July 3rd.
We will begin putting a sealcoat on .6/10 of a mile on County Road 62 then doing 9 miles on Keeney Fork Rd (County Road 18.) starting at four corners and ending at State Hwy 26.
Work schedule is Monday – Thursday, 6 am-5:00 pm.
Travel with caution through the work zone and
be prepared for fresh oil and delays.
There will be traffic control devices and pilot cars.
