PASCO – Greenridge Farms and Baker Produce, both based in Pasco, will pay $470,000 to resolve a civil rights lawsuit filed by the Washington State Attorney General’s Office over sexual abuse and harassment of female farm workers by Antonio “Junior” Garcilazo, one of the companies’ supervisors.
All the money garnered in the resolution will go to the four women who reported the conduct. One of the workers also reported multiple rapes to law enforcement. The conduct ranges from at least 2018 up until Garcilazo was fired this past March.
In addition to the resolution, Greenridge Farms and Baker Produce are prohibited in rehiring Garcilazo is any capacity.
