City conducting studies on aging facilities

COLLEGE PLACE – The city of College Place is in the process of having two facilities studies done – one on the police department building and the other on the public works yard.
City Administrator Mike Rizzitiello said that currently, the police department is located in a building that was previously an auto mechanics shop and student apartment.
The public works yard dates to the 1920s and is a repurposed group of little outbuildings and chicken coops.
Neither of the facilities meet current day requirements. Rizzitiello said more information will be released on how the public can provide input as the city looks at new facilities.
