MILTON-FREEWATER – A Walla Walla woman was left injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Monday night in the southbound lane of Highway 11 in front of the Wayside gas station.
Oregon State Police responded at 10:46 p.m. to the intersection of highways 11 and 332. The initial investigation revealed the Lois Ann Flippo, 53, was partially in the lane of travel when she was struck. The suspect vehicle fled the scene leaving only a small amount of black plastic debris behind.
Flippo was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla with suspected serious injuries.
There is no vehicle description other than it is possibly black in color.
Oregon State Police was assisted by the Milton-Freewater Rural Fire Department and Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office.
