UPDATE: There has been a change in Tuesday’s schedule. The boys play at noon. The girls play at 2 p.m.
PENDLETON – Umatilla County District Attorney Dan Primus will be running from one field to the other tomorrow (Tuesday). He and his wife Jodi Justus Primus have a daughter on the varsity softball team and a son on the varsity baseball team and both of them have playoff games.
The girls host North Bend at 2 p.m. at Sunridge Middle School. The boys play St. Helen’s at noon at Bob White Field. He’s hoping lots of people in Pendleton turn out for one or both of the games. (Corrected to reflect new schedule.)
“I want them to get out there and support these young men and women,” he said. “They’re working hard. I think what is really fun is both of those jerseys say ‘Pendleton’ across the front and they represent our community really, really well.”
He said his son and daughter support each other and have a healthy dose of competitive spirit as well. “They want to see each other do well,” he said. “But then also, at the same time, they want to be the fastest or have the most hits. There’s a little banter between the two.”
