Second Avenue pavement project begins in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla Public Works advises motorists that the Second Avenue pavement restoration project is scheduled to begin today (Monday).
Construction is expected to last approximately three months with work being completed in four phases. The first phase will occur on South Second Avenue between Howard Street and West Tietan Street.
Stage 2 is West Tietan Street/Second Avenue Intersection; Stage 3 is West Tietan Street to Chestnut Street; then Stage 4 is Chestnut Street to Birch Street.
Emergency vehicles will have access and detours will be in place. Construction of the estimated $2.3 million project is scheduled to be completed in mid-August.
