BAKER CITY – (Release from Baker City Police) On May 12th, 2024, at about 9:37 pm, a patrol officer with Baker City Police Department attempted to stop a motorcyclist near the 500 block of Campbell Street in Baker City for a traffic violation.
The operator fled on the motorcycle at a high rate of speed. The BCPD officer terminated the pursuit as the cyclist entered the Interstate and traveled westbound. The same officer then encountered the cyclist a short time later at the Chevron Station in Baker City at 275 Campbell Street. The officer again attempted to stop the driver and the driver attempted to flee. The officer was able to get in a position that enabled him to push the motorcyclist off his bike and take him into custody.
The operator was found to be in possession of almost 20 grams of methamphetamine on his person. The subject is well known to the police department and the Narcotics Team. He was transported to the Baker County Jail and lodged.
Suspect: BRENDAN ANDREW OGAN, age 35. Resides at 2790 Carter St. Baker City.
Subject was lodged for felony elude (2 counts) and unlawful possession of
methamphetamine, felony (over 8 grams)
