HARNEY COUNTY-Do you have extra garbage or small household items that need to be thrown away? Well, here’s your chance! The city of Burns and the City of Hines are hosting a Community Clean Up Saturday May 18 and Sunday 19, 2024. The clean up will be held from 8am until 4pm on both days.
This free event is for all residents of Burns and Hines. Acceptable items to be dumped at the dumpsters will be garbage (must be bagged so that it is not blown out of the dumpster) and small household items ( toys, clothing and small furniture).
Prohibited items in the dumpsters are, yard, debris, large furniture, tires, wet paint, solvents, etc., batteries, hazardous materials, chemicals, etc., burn barrels or burnt materials, oil, antifreeze, or other automobile fluids and dead animals.
Yard debris will be collected past the entrance to C&B Sanitary. Look for volunteers to help direct.
Scrap metal will be collected before the entrance to C&B Sanitary. Appliances filled with garbage or spoiled food will not be accepted.
The dumpsters will be located behind the high school.
