PENDLETON – Several posts made on social media Wednesday morning regarding a shooting event at Pendeton High School are untrue, according to a statement released by Superintendent Kevin Headings.
Headings said Pendleton High School Principal Pat Dutcher sent the following message out to parents moments ago:

Dear Pendleton High School Community,
We are aware of a recent social media post circulating with claims regarding an event at our school. We want to clarify that these claims are not true. As a community, it’s crucial to rely on accurate and official sources of information.
Please remember that any significant updates or official statements about events at Pendleton High School will be directly communicated from the Pendleton School District through official channels, including emails, our website, and our official social media pages.
