Pittsburg Landing Boat Launch/Campground to have restricted access due to road maintenance

HELLS CANYON – (Release by Wallowa-Whitman National Forest) The Pittsburg Landing boat launch and campground will have limited access from 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12th, through Wednesday, May 15th, for maintenance (chip sealing) to the road from the cattle guard to the edge of the boat ramp, and the campground loop. One lane to the boat ramp will remain open throughout the maintenance period. The campground will be closed until the afternoon of May 15th.
This change in date is due to the high chance of precipitation during the original days.
With the warm spring weather right around the corner, we expect our visitors to start enjoying the outdoors both at the campground and on the river. We ask the public to please plan around this short-term road maintenance so we can have everything safe and repaired before our busy summer months.
