Drug take-back event to be held at Grant County Fairgrounds

JOHN DAY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley informed KJDY’s Coffee Time listeners on Thursday of the National Drug Take-Back event to be held at the Grant County Fairgrounds this weekend. The Sheriff said the event will collect unwanted prescription drugs and things like used diabetic needles. He said this is a way to dispose of these items without flushing drugs into the water system:
“This is a National Take-Back event. It will be at the fairgrounds Friday and Saturday—Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning….it will be at the parking lot right there in front of the pavilion. They can just pull in. They don’t even have to get out of their car, they can hand it to them and drive off.
There’s no questions asked. You show up, you get rid of it.”
