MILTON-FREEWATER – The Milton-Freewater School District announced Wednesday some heavy lifting has taken place at McLoughlin High School. The new HVAC units were successfully lifted onto the roof of the gymnasium.
With graduation for the class of 2024 being held June 8, Superintendent Aaron Duff said, “we are hoping people have to have coats on.”
Duff said by installing the new HVAC units, this will allow for summer activities to be held in the gymnasium that have not been able to happen in the past.
The $300,000 project, which was requested by the community, is being covered by funds from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief fund.
