GRANT COUNTY – Robert Waltenburg, Grant County ESD Superintendent, announced today that nominations are being accepted for the Grant County Crystal Apple Awards. Mr. Waltenburg, on an earlier episode of Coffee Time, reminded listeners that there are two awards given:
“We feel every staff member at a school educates kids. Everybody from bus drivers, to teachers, to administrators—everybody that’s in there, working with those kids. There are two awards, remember, one is [on] the classified [staff] side, the other is on the licensed teacher side.”

The five school districts and Grant County ESD are sponsoring the Grant County Crystal Apple Award. The purpose is to recognize the dedication and contributions of those teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, classified staff, coaches, bus drivers, cooks and others who tirelessly work for our kids.
