Milton-Freewater suspect arrested for burglary, other crimes

MILTON-FREEWATER – Eloisa Ramirez, 48, of Milton-Freewater was arrested Thursday for first-degree burglary, unlawful use of a weapon and other crimes, according to Milton-Freewater Police Chief Joe Shurtz.

Shurtz said Ramirez allegedly entered a home on March 16 and pulled a knife on the victim who fired a gun at Ramirez. Treatment required hospitalization and, upon release, Ramirez was booked into the Umatilla County Jail.

Shurtz said the case is being referred to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office.
