SOUTHEAST OREGON- The National Weather Service has issued weather alerts for areas in Southeast Oregon.

What: Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.

Where: Ochoco-John Day highlands.

When: From 4 PM Monday to 4 AM PST Tuesday.

Impacts Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions… Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Where: Harney county zone.

When: From 4 PM this afternoon to 10 PM PST Tuesday.

Impacts Travel could be very difficult. Expect areas of blowing snow reducing visibility.

Precautionary/preparedness actions… If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

When: From 11 PM MST /10 PM PST/ this evening to 11 PM MST /10 PM PST/ Tuesday.

Impacts Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility.
