Mary Lue Slabik of Pilot Rock died suddenly on February 13, 2024 at the age of 93. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at St. Helen Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at the Pilot Rock Cemetery.
She was born on January 25, 1931 in Fredonia, North Dakota. Mary Lue is preceded in death by her parents James and Lea Palensky, Sister Verna and husband Raymond Slabik of 70 years.
Mary Lue has was a 68 year resident of Pilot Rock and managed the town bank for 30 years. She enjoyed growing roses, traveling, serving her community; and was an avid Pilot Rock Booster. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Pilot Rock. Contributions in her memory can be made to either St. Helen Catholic Church or the Pendleton local V.F.W.
