City of John Day contracts planning services with LCOG

JOHN DAY – The City of John Day have contracted a City Planner. City Manager Melissa Bethel was on Coffee Time recently, and mentioned she is familiar with these particular planning services:
“The council approved an IGA with the Lane Council Of Governments, which is known as LCOG, for planning services. Officially, we have a contracted planner onboard. I’ve dealt with this particular planner before and he’s absolutely wonderful.”
Bethel said they should save some money as well:
“They’re cheaper than what we’ve been paying, and it’s a stopgap for now to get us planning services in our city.”
