CANYON CITY – The first-ever Crochet Club has looped its way around the hearts of 5th and 6th Graders at Humbolt Elementary. Currently there are seven students in the club, which started shortly after Thanksgiving. Club Leader Mrs. Korina Jones was in the studio last week, and said the projects are going well so far:
“Now they’re doing potholders. We’ve had three girls finish their potholders. Those are single crochet, and then we’ll move them on to double crochet. If they ever have a project that they want to tackle, then they’re welcome to ask me, and we’ll see if we can tackle that together.”
The club meets after school at the library to work on their projects. The club is open to all interested 5th or 6th Graders at Humbolt Elementary.
