JOHN DAY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was in the KJDY and News102 Newsroom Thursday, and offered some sound advice for anyone feeling, as he put it, “cagey,” from being inside this winter:
“Right now, is when we start seeing an uptick, kind of, in domestic violence and different things, honestly. People are just kind of tired of staring at each other or being housebound. It’s little things that usually turn into an issue, you know, it’s some little nit-picky issue. You know, reaching out to people—just step away. That’s the best thing. Get some space, clear your head, and don’t let it turn into something it shouldn’t.”
The non-emergency line to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office is (541) 575-1131.
