LONG CREEK – Members of Long Creek School District were on KJDY’s Coffee Time Tuesday morning. Superintendent Larry Glaze announced that his term as Interim Superintendent will come to an end at the end of the school year, and a familiar face at the district will fill his shoes as the new Superintendent next year:
“We took our head teacher, who is Joan Walczyk, and she has started administrative school this year. She will be able to get her Restricted Administrative License by the end of this school year, and she will be able to take over as Superintendent of the school district.”
Mr. Glaze said the transition will, “…allow someone who has been at the district for a number of years to take over.” He said Mrs. Walczyk understands the community, the teachers, the students, and how the school district operates.
