LA GRANDE – The latest La Grande community blood draw came and went. In total, the draw was able to collect 253 units of blood over the course of January 16 and 17. While this number is slightly down from the largest community blood draw that took place last year, according to community blood draw coordinators Linda and Sheldon Strand, this is still considered a successful turnout, especially given the current weather conditions. The strands would like to thank their community supporters, volunteers, and Red Cross staff for making the draw possible.
