WALLA WALLA – The Washington State Patrol reports snow fall caused several collisions across the region Wednesday morning, including a fatal crash about three miles east of Walla Walla.

The deadly collision involved two vehicles on Highway 12 at milepost 344 around 5 a.m., which claimed the life of Leearon A. Kennedy, 44, of Dayton, and injured two others. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Trooper Chris Thorson said WSP responded to 16 crashes in the Tri-Cities, two in the Yakima Valley and two in Yakima Wednesday morning.

“Speed too fast for roadway conditions was the main cause of all crashes,” Thorson said.
