Harney District Hospital and Slater Elementary School went into lockdown

Harney County-Law enforcement in Harney County ordered a lockdown for Slater Elementary School as well as Harney District Hospital earlier yesterday, out of an abundance of caution regarding an individual with a shotgun. Law enforcement responded and detained the individual.

According to the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, the individual was located in an area not near the hospital or school, and there was not an active threat to the public.
