Nomination window opens soon for Oregon Teacher of the Year

GRANT COUNTY – It is almost time to nominate worthy candidates for Oregon Lottery and the Oregon Department of Education’s Teacher of the Year award.
Robert Waltenburg, Grant County ESD Superintendent, said the process is easy, just log on to oregonteacheroftheyear.org:
“…click on those links in therefor nominations. They’ll just ask, ‘What’s the teacher’s name? Where do they teach?’ And a couple-three sentences of, ‘Why do you think teacher deserves to be Teacher of The Year?’ That process starts January 2nd, and it’s open until February 21st, and then at that point it closes. Anyone can nominate any teacher.”
Regional Teachers of the Year are announced in September of every year.
