WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla County has announced its new emergency management director is Chris Lee. Lee, who started at the beginning of December, comes from Franklin County Emergency Management after 11 years of service, the last 5 of which were as deputy director.
Prior to working at Franklin County Emergency Management, Lee was a dispatcher at the Southeast Communications Center, the 911 center for Benton and Franklin Counties, located in Richland, Washington, for 22 years. Lee also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Lee takes over the Walla Walla County Emergency Management Department from retiring director Liz Jessee who has been with the department for 22 years, the last seven years as emergency management director.
Jessee’s last day in the office is today (Friday).
